On The Road Again – The Top 5 Concerts of Summer 2022

It has been two long years of silence for live music lovers. With the COVID-19 pandemic seemingly in the rearview mirror, artists are, as the song says, on the road again. Even though spring saw the resurrection of festivals and shows all over the world, it is this summer that is shaping up to be one of the hottest on record (and we aren’t just talking about the temps either) for live music.
With that in mind, let’s get a look at the top five concerts to take in summer of 2022.
Lady Gaga
To say Lady Gaga has been a busy lady as of late is an understatement of monstrous proportions. Her latest song “Hold My Hand,” from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack is already receiving early Oscar buzz. Add to that the recent news that Lady Gaga is tied to the latest Joker movie with Joaquin Phoenix. If that deal goes through, she would take on the role of Harley Quinn in the musical sequel. All of that is to say that Gaga fans are well fed in their fandom.
For her music fans thought, much awaited news that Gaga is returning to the stage.
In support of her sixth studio album Chromatica, Gaga is hitting roads with “The Chromatica Ball” on July 17 in Europe before hitting her first American date in DC on August 8. Since being postponed from 2020 the tour has added over a dozen shows to the tour.

Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar has quickly become one of the most influential rappers of this generation. With five studio albums and 14 Grammys to his credit, this is easily one of the most anticipated tours this summer.
Kendrick Lamar is starting off “The Big Steppers Tour” in Oklahoma on July 19 and wraps up in September before venturing overseas.

Bad Bunny
It’s good to be bad, Bad Bunny that is. The Puerto Rican reggaeton icon is one of only a few artists who didn’t rest in the pandemic. With appearances in the ring for WWE, numerous shoe collaborations and Bullet Train – an upcoming movie with Brad Pitt screeching into theaters – Bad Bunny is busier than, well, a bunny.
That said, his World’s Hottest Tour is adding to the summer heat with opening acts Diplo and Alesso in Orlando on August 5 and runs through December.

Harry Styles
Things in the concert world get even harrier in August when Harry Styles hits American roads. Harry will certainly be hitting the road while promoting his recent Gucci line and his upcoming movie with girlfriend Olivia Wilde, Don’t Worry Darling.
The Harry Styles Love on Tour Tour kicks off August 20 at Madison Square Garden with an obnoxious number of dates in NY. The tour runs through November 15.

Machine Gun Kelly
Machine Gun Kelly is already on the road with his “Mainstream Sellout” tour and it too is proving to be one of the biggest shows of the summer. The tour has him all over America before dropping the curtain in mid August to head overseas.
For those who were not lucky enough to get a ticket you can always catch his documentary on Hulu.
