Britney Spears Accuses Mom of 'Premeditated' Conservatorship; Mom Claps Back

Ever since Britney Spears was freed from her conservatorship late last year, she's been dropping truth bombs on people she feels wronged her.

Finally free to speak out on how she was treated and against those who participated in what she describes as her captivity, Spears is burning bridges left and right. Over the weekend, she took to YouTube with a 22-minute video to discuss her conservatorship experience – and suggest that her mom premeditated the whole thing to take advantage of her daughter.

Britney’s 22-Minute Conservatorship Tale

In the 22-minute video, Spears gets right to the point, describing how she hasn't had a chance or felt able to discuss the trauma of what she experienced during the conservatorship. Once before the pop star has described feeling as though her mom set it all up, and the way her mom warned her that people were coming to take her away.

Spears explains, "I know now it was all premeditated and a woman introduced the idea to my dad and mom actually helped him follow through and made it all happen. It was all basically set up, there were no drugs in my system, no alcohol, nothing, it was pure abuse. And I haven't even really shared even half of it."

According to the video, Spears' father Jamie loved to control her, at one point even telling the pop queen, "I'm Britney Spears." Spears described a controlling, abusive childhood for herself and her brother, and the way people broke down her self-esteem to make her easier to control.

TMZ reports, "She goes on to describe what it was like working under the conservatorship, and it sounds miserable. Britney says she felt like a robot who was under the direct control of her father.

Britney says that after her Vegas residency ended in 2017, a new show was in the works … and she says that when she was rehearsing for it, she stood up for herself about a certain dance move — saying she simply voiced her preference. After that, she says she was shipped away to a facility, under the guise of seeking treatment and worrying for her dad's health.

While there, Britney says she was heavily medicated … this after she claims her father threatened her with a major legal battle that he thought she's apparently lose.

This was a particularly dark chapter for her, Britney says, and it's clear Britney resents her family for putting her through that — especially her mom, whom she says turned a blind eye. Remember, photos from that specific period showed Britney appearing very out of sorts, when her then-boyfriend Sam Asghari took her out for a bit around Easter time."

Spears describes a world where she has no control over any aspect in her life, down to the details. Spears attributes her strength to fight back and escape the conservatorship to the outspoken members of the #FreeBritney movement of 2019 and 2020.

The YouTube video has since been made private, and a Tweet promoting it deleted. Click here to listen to the audio in full.

Mom Lynn Speaks Out

In response to the bombshell audio blasting her, Lynne Spears (Britney's mom) has now spoken out.

Lynne shared on Instagram, "Britney, your whole life I have tried my best to support your dreams and wishes! And also, I have tried my best to help you out of hardships! I have never and will never turn my back on you! Your rejections to the countless times I have flown out and calls make me feel hopeless! I have tried everything. I love you so much, but this talk is for you and me only , eye to eye, in private."

Whether or not Spears will take her mom up on the offer remains to be seen, but it's clearly an attempt to stop the public lashings from a finally-free Britney who is tired of keeping the past 14 years a secret.
