Donald Trump isn't exactly known for being the most politically correct or tactful person. But his heartfelt message over the death of Queen Elizabeth II has even those who are quick to criticize him taking note.

The message was written with great solemnity, care, and emotion - all three things that people don't normally attribute to the former President.

Donald Trump Sends Heartfelt Message of Grief over Death of Queen Elizabeth II

After Queen Elizabeth II passed away yesterday at the age of 96, world leaders took to the airwaves and internet to share their condolences and memories of the long-reigning monarch.

But even former world leaders had thoughts on the loss of one of their own, and Trump took to Truth Social to share his thoughts.

Trump wrote, "Melania and I are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Together with our family and fellow Americans, we send our sincere condolences to the Royal Family and the people of the United Kingdom during this time of great sorrow and grief. Queen Elizabeth’s historic and remarkable reign left a tremendous legacy of peace and prosperity for Great Britain. Her leadership and enduring diplomacy secured and advanced alliances with the United States and countries…

…around the world. However, she will always be remembered for her faithfulness to her country and her unwavering devotion to her fellow countrymen and women. Melania and I will always cherish our time together with the Queen, and never forget Her Majesty’s generous friendship, great wisdom, and wonderful sense of humor. What a grand and beautiful lady she was—there was nobody like her!…

…Our thoughts and prayers will remain with the great people of the United Kingdom as you honor her most meaningful life and exceptional service to the people. May God bless the Queen, may she reign forever in our hearts, and may God hold her and Prince Philip in abiding care."

It was the kind of thoughtful and soul-revealing message the world isn't used to seeing from Donald Trump.

Although critics were impressed with the dignity and thoughtfulness of the message, some point out that it's unlikely the former POTUS wrote it himself. Nonetheless, it shows a great care for the grief of the British people and admirers of the Queen around the globe.

... But Doesn't Stop Attacking the FBI

Of course that doesn't mean Trump took a day off. Beset by legal woes from multiple directions, the former POTUS has been on the offensive over the past few weeks and trying to get ahead of the mess that keeps showing up on his doorstep.

After taking a brief moment to add a note of congratulations and encouragement to the new monarch in Britain, King Charles III, Trump turned his focus back on the FBI in the US.

The business mogul wrote on Truth, "So now the FBI & Biden Department of 'Justice' leakers are going to spend Millions of Dollars, & vast amounts of Time & Energy, to appeal the Order on the 'Raid of Mar-a-Lago Document Hoax,' by a brilliant and courageous Judge whose words of wisdom rang true throughout our Nation, instead of fighting the record setting corruption and crime that is taking place right before their very eyes. They SPIED on my Campaign, lied to FISA COURT, told Facebook 'quiet,' preside over worst CRIME WAVE ever!!

…..They leak, lie, plant fake evidence, allow the spying on my campaign, deceive the FISA Court, RAID and Break-Into my home, lose documents, and then they ask me, as the 45th President of the United States, to trust them. Look at the I.G. Reports on Comey, McCabe, and others. Things are safer in the middle of Central Park!"

Trump does have a point that crime is up across the United States, especially violent crimes such as murder. But the spike occurred first in 2020 - when he was still the President.

More likely, Trump is focused on the January 6 rioters being arrested en masse and his own run-in with the Department of Justice and what he feels it means about the state of things. Trump has in the past described it as "third world country" type behavior.
