Watching the music festival scene get back up on its feet after two years of darkness is an extraordinary thing to witness.

The live music industry was crippled by COVID-19 and pandemic restrictions, and many people had to leave a line of work they loved so dearly. Now though, festivals are kicking off again – the scene is returning, and people are back and happier than ever to be working at or attending their faves.

With HARD Summer Music Festival 2022 just a few months away, it's time to get ready for EDM, rap and hip-hop's premiere festival event – and here's the lineup you won't want to miss.

Hard Summer 2022 is Bringing Their A-List Game

At the NOS Event Center in San Bernardino, Southern California, EDM, rap and hip-hop lovers will come together for the year's preeminent festival.

And for the first time ever, the festival is expanding to three days – offering more than ever before and welcoming music and festival lovers back with a warm embrace.

HARD Summer focuses on bringing together diverse artists in electronic, hip-hop, rap and more – with a focus on rising stars and industry leaders who are shaping music as we know it.

The HARD team shares in a statement, "In true HARD fashion, the festival will continue to make the worlds of hip-hop and rap a focus with a curational ear turned towards both emerging sounds and household names. Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion will reign as one of the event’s unmissable acts after her Coachella triumph. Meg will be joined by eccentric Philadelphia artist Lil Uzi Vert, the smooth vocal stylings of Gunna, and Southern rap legends Three 6 Mafia, plus high-energy performers like Denzel Curry, Ski Mask the Slump God, and Aminé."

History of HARD Summer

This year's festival will return to its new home at NOS Event Center after a successful 2021 debut.

The event venue for 2022 will feature five outdoor stages, free water stations, shade structures, a one-acre lagoon, cooling mist systems throughout the venue, and more – all focused on keeping guests cool, comfortable and safe in the summer temps.

In addition, the VIP pool will make its return for those with special tickets who want to escape the warm weather altogether.

It all started in 2007 with Gary Richards, known as DJ Destructo.

Soundclub Mag writes, "HARD has garnered a dedicated fan base in the years since its inauguration, and for good reason. Although it is predominantly known as an EDM festival, it also features prominent rap and alternative shows on the regular.

The renowned music festival is famous for being a dance fest, featuring world-class talent, and initially gained its popularity due to its founder, Destructo."

Over the years the popularity has waxed and waned but after 2021's successful NOS premiere, 2022 looks to be the biggest and best year ever – and with a lineup like that, success is certain.
