The lawsuit between Kailyn Lowry and Briana DeJesus has gone on long enough. And that's not an opinion. Their feud goes as far back as 2017 when DeJesus became part of the cast. And, their issues only escalated once the court was brought into the matter.
Kailyn's initial complaint claimed that DeJesus made false comments about here "for the purpose of causing Lowry harm." The court papers also shared that DeJesus "used Lowry to gain additional media attention for herself." However, DeJesus fought back by saying that it wasn't her who defamed Lowry, it was Lowry herself when she got arrested.
All in all, the case has been an ongoing lawsuit of 'he said she said' but, it seems like it might be finally coming to an end, leaving DeJesus to think about new work to keep busy.
Briana Goes To Court
On Tuesday, DeJesus attended a court hearing in Florida for the judge to rule on her anti-slapp motion, which protects a person's freedom of speech. She filed this to get her case dismissed against Lowry after the mom of four accused her of sharing false information.
The Sun shared photos of DeJesus and her lawyer, Marc J. Randazza, smiling together as they left the courtroom. DeJesus exclusively told a Sun reporter, "I'm okay. I feel good."
Although the two seemed eager to celebrate, the judge did not rule to dismiss the case just yet. He is going to review the information and make a decision at a later date. And, in the meantime, DeJesus is looking for a new career path.
Getting Behind The Screen And On-Screen
During her court deposition, DeJsus revealed her plans for the future when Teen Mom 2 comes to an end. The mom of two shared that she would like pursue writing and acting in the near future. In the deposition, Lowry's lawyer questioned DeJesus about her role on Teen Mom 2 and her other forms of income.
The lawyer asked DeJesus if she has a blog to which she responded, "No, but I want to, though." She was also asked about having any history appearing in movies. She responded, "i would do that too." She then went on to explain her multiple sources of income.
DeJesus revealed that 50 percent of her income is from Teen Mom, which she gets paid per episode. The other 50 percent of her income is from her corporate job. Her final source of income is from posting articles on social media.
The reality TV personality explained how she used to make $300 to $1000 per promotional post on social media, but she no longer does it because it took time away from being with her kids.
