Donald Trump isn't exactly known for sugar-coating things. From the state of immigration to COVID and more, Trump is considered a straight-talker who pulls no verbal punches even when perhaps he should.

Now, the MAGA king is issuing a warning to voters about what will happen if they continue to vote for Democrats, and a grim possible future.

Donald Trump Warns the End of America is Nigh

President Joe Biden this week unveiled plans for a massive Student Loan Forgiveness program. It will cancel between $10K to $20K in debt for over 40 million Americans, and has been met with both excitement and skepticism.

Trump is definitely on the side of the skeptics. The former President took to Truth Social yesterday to issue a statement, writing, "Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats have just orchestrated another election enhancing money grab, this time to the tune of $300,000,000,000 - and just like I predicted, it's coming right out of the pocket of the working-class Americans who are struggling the most! Crippling inflation, unaffordable energy prices, and WAR - all things that never should have happened. But if that wasn't enough, now Americans are bailing out College Administrators who fleeced students, and those who opted for Degrees there was no way they could afford.

But it's what Trump wrote next that has voters worried, with good reason; "America is a nation in decline, and the cliff into oblivion is within sight. Stop voting for Democrats! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

A nation in decline - just steps away from oblivion? If that isn't enough to stir his base to action, nothing will.

The former President has been warning for months that America is a "failing nation," citing the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago and the January 6 hearings as proof that the once-great America has fallen into "third world" status (his words). Constitutional scholars have been working overtime to try to reassure the public that holding people accountable for potential crimes is all part of the fabric of the nation, but Trump's warnings are landing - and causing many of his devotees to rage online. Many worry that this is all setting the stage for another January 6 attempted coup, but Trump seems cavalier about tossing out the dire predictions regardless.

New York Times Comes Out Swinging Against Donald Trump

Donald Trump and the New York Times have been on bad terms for years. The NYT has exposed a lot of things Trump would rather people didn't focus on and have shown they are unafraid of his bluster and threats.

But the Times isn't done yet in their efforts to bring light to things they find shady in the orbit of Donald Trump, and a new op-ed warns Trump that no one is above the law - not even him.

The New York Times Editorial Board wrote a piece titled simply, "Donald Trump is Not Above the Law," and expanded on the dangers and risks of indicting a former President. The Board warns that, once used against a former President, political opportunists in the future could do the same with less actual cause, wielding prosecution like a political tool. However, that's not a reason not to act, the Board writes.

In part the piece reads, "... it is a far greater risk to do nothing when action is called for. Aside from letting Mr. Trump escape punishment, doing nothing to hold him accountable for his actions in the months leading up to Jan. 6 could set an irresistible precedent for future presidents. Why not attempt to stay in power by any means necessary or use the power of the office to enrich oneself or punish one’s enemies, knowing that the law does not apply to presidents in or out of office?

More important, democratic government is an ideal that must constantly be made real. America is not sustained by a set of principles; it is sustained by resolute action to defend those principles."

The Editorial Board concludes, "No one should revel in the prospect of this or any former president facing criminal prosecution. Mr. Trump’s actions have brought shame on one of the world’s oldest democracies and destabilized its future. Even justice before the law will not erase that stain. Nor will prosecuting Mr. Trump fix the structural problems that led to the greatest crisis in American democracy since the Civil War. But it is a necessary first step toward doing so."

There's no love lost between the Times and Trump, but this piece written with the weight of the Editorial Board is a stunning rebuke of the former President's attempts to thwart accountability for crimes he may have committed.
