With the January 6 hearings just weeks from resuming, most people would assume former President Donald Trump would be keeping a low profile. That is not the case.

Over the weekend, Trump took to Truth Social to blast Democrats, mail-in voting and more. But it was what he said about FBI agents that has experts worried - and Trump's legal team sweating.

Donald Trump Calls for Revolution as DOJ Marches On

Trump has taken advantage of the lull between January 6 hearings to take aim at his enemies.

Whether he finds enemies in the FBI, Department of Justice, Democrats, RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) or somewhere else, he has been growing bolder over the past few weeks. Some might even call it desperate.

But Trump finally took it what many may believe is too far over the weekend as he suggested, without directly suggesting it, that FBI agents should "revolt" against what they're being asked to do. Trump pondered on Truth Social, "When are the great Agents, and others, in the FBI going to say 'we aren’t going to take it anymore,' much as they did when James Comey read off a list of all of Crooked Hillary Clinton’s crimes, only to say that no reasonable prosecutor would prosecute. The wonderful people of the FBI went absolutely 'nuts,' so Comey had to backtrack and do a FAKE INVESTIGATION in order to keep them at bay. The end result, we won in 2016 (and did MUCH better in 2020!). But now the 'Left' has lost their minds!!!"

Since Trump is currently under investigation for inciting an attempted coup and successful riot, Trump's legal team is sweating bullets as the former POTUS continues down the path that his team has to swear he never intended in the first place, even as he reinforces his right to incite unrest.

Political experts have warned that indicting Trump may cause civil unrest, but choosing not to indict him could be far worse, encouraging Presidents to act with impunity regardless of the law. Unfortunately for those in Trump's orbit, nearly ever Truth post he makes increases the difficulty of defending him.

After all, since he can encourage FBI agents to revolt, how can he say he never did so before January 6? That's what the January 6 committee is working on proving as the days tick by to when they'll reconvene public hearings in September.

Trump Praises Truth Social Even as Company Fails

The ongoing investigations are not the only worry bearing down on Team Trump right now, although those would certainly be enough to ruin anyone's month.

Trump's tech project, Truth Social, is not doing so well. Yesterday, Trump wrote on Truth, "The Fake News Media is devastated by how well TRUTH is doing so, quite on cue, they are working overtime to criticize and demean it. Actually, many of the big guns in Washington, D.C., are fighting to stop the TRUTH but, they won’t be successful. They are going after the outside financial company, and virtually anybody that walks and breaths, but that won’t do it. They said it is doing worse since the Raid, but actually it is doing MUCH better, up more than 550%. We all love TRUTH!!!"

But reality paints a different picture. Vendors who worked for the platform say they haven't been paid in months, the company is posting huge financial losses, and the site's trademark was denied.

Business Insider reports, "A planned merger between the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the business that created the Truth Social platform, and the special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Digital World Acquisition Corp, has been postponed indefinitely as the Securities and Exchange Commission investigates the platform's business dealings.

SPACs like Digital World are companies formed either to raise funds through an initial public offering or for the purpose of merging with an existing company. SPACs have no other commercial operations. In an SEC filing earlier this month, Digital World said it had 'neither engaged in any operations nor generated any revenues to date' as its sole purpose was to prepare to take Truth Social public."

If President Trump becomes less popular or there are further controversies that damage his credibility or the desire of people to use a platform associated with him, and from which he will derive financial benefit, TMTG's results of operations, as well as the outcome of the proposed Business combination, could be adversely affected.

Digital World has asked to place the merger on hold until at least next year, citing concerns that Trump's reputation may cause problems with the business's launch.

Unfortunately for Trump, allegations that contractors who work with his businesses don't get paid what they're owed is nothing new. Despite the FPOTUS's attempt to paint everything as "going well," things seem to be doing anything but going well for Truth.
