Zendaya Texted Beau Tom Holland First After Winning Emmy - So Why Wasn't He There?

The night of the Emmys, Zendaya took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and unleashed it to E! News that boyfriend Tom Holland was the first person she reached out to.

On Monday the 12th, Zendaya made history with her second win for outstanding lead actress and that makes her the youngest two time-winner in all of history and the first black woman to win this award twice.

“Well, I didn’t have to text my mom [Claire Stoermer] because my mom was already there, she’s here tonight, which is very special. And I texted my boyfriend,” she shares.

Zendaya didn't explain exactly why Holland wasn't with her, but if she's texting him first, things must be going well – so where was the elusive star?

Holland Was MIA For a Simple Reason (Probably)

As stars do, he was likely busy filming after being spotted in NYC.

When they confirmed their romance in 2021, fans were giddy.

“He adores her and she thinks he is so smart and funny,” a source told Us Weekly that December. “They seem to be in it for the long haul together, all their friends love them together.”

Fans loved every minute of the "are they/aren't they" speculation leading up to the confirmation of their relationship in 2021.

It could be easily said that the couple is the world's favorite famous pair.

Zendaya Makes History

After accepting the award, the talented 26-year-old Zendaya gushed, "“This means so much. Thank you, thank you so much. Wow. To all the incredible actresses in this category, I’m so honored to be beside you,” she added, “Thank you to the incredible cast and crew of Euphoria, thank you for making such a safe space to make this very difficult show, I love you all so much. Thank you to the Academy, thank you to my friends and family, some of which are here tonight.”

She then thanked the creator of the HBO Show, Euphoria, Sam Levinson, for sharing the opportunity for her to be the character Rue.

“Thank you for believing in me even in moments where I didn’t believe in myself,” Zendaya continued. “Lastly, I just wanted to say my greatest wish for Euphoria was that it could help heal people. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has shared their story with me. I want you to know that anyone who has loved a Rue, or feels like they are a Rue. I want you to know that I am so grateful your stories.”

Zendaya's star is shining bright, but it's clearly just a start of her rise to the top – the sky is the limit.
