Ever since Queen Elizabeth passed, the question of royal titles has been up in the air.

Specifically for the children of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: little Archie and Lilibet.

But the toddler-sized royals (ex-royals?) finally have official titles: Prince and Princess.

TMZ reports, “Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s kids’ Royal titles have been up in the air for months, but the Sussexes have now made their heart’s desire clear — they want their kids to be recognized as tied to the throne, which King Charles is now officially honoring.

H and M revealed Wednesday they christened their daughter, Lilibet, last week here in California … during an intimate, private ceremony in Montecito. In the announcement, the couple noted Lilibet was blessed, and will henceforth be known, as ‘Princess Lilibet’ — a new update to how she’s been referred to, publicly, up until now.”

Before now, Archie has been referred to in public as Master Archie, and Lilibet has been Miss Lilibet. But Harry and Meghan had held onto the titles that were bestowed to them at birth. Buckingham Palace has now made those official.

The conferring of titles officially to the little Prince and Princess is a comforting reassurance for Harry and Meghan, whose place in the royal family has been in flux in recent months.

The couple recently released a multi-part documentary on Netflix which dove into the harassment and bullying they received at the hands of the British media and royal establishment.

But the relationship between Harry and Meghan and the now-King Charles seemed to be solid, and he has honored that love with his grandkids’ official titles.
