Reality Star Kim Zolciak Is Facing Hardships Left and Right Amid Lawsuit With Nene Leakes

Being under the spotlight produces a rollercoaster of emotions. Constantly receiving attention from the world around you can take a toll at times however, when faced with challenging moments, support from fans is the best thing to get you through .

Kim Zolciak, the very popular Real Housewives of Atlanta star, recently shared a tragic loss of two people close to her and her emotional battle over her kids moving out.

An “Empty Nest”

Brielle Beirmann, 25, and Ariana Beirmann, 20, are planning on moving out of their childhood home.

During a recent Q&A on Instagram one fan asked Zolciak, "Are you ready for your girls to flee the nest?"

She made it clear that she most definitely isn't by responding with six crying emojis.

And, with her daughters moving out and family relations being heavy on Zocliak's mind, she reveals that she lost two people close to her.

Being Vulnerable With Her Fans

On June 11, Kim shared with her followers that she lost two people close to her who might not have been blood but, were her chosen family.

"My heart is so broken The world lost 2 of the most incredible people yesterday. The only comfort I can find is they passed together and I know they couldn't have handled it any other way. Deb and Fred were like parents to me ever since I was a little girl. They lived 2 doors down from me and their daughter Melissa and I would run the streets together for years and years…. Anytime I went back home to CT I would stop by and surprise them… and every-time Fred would cry," wrote Zolciak.

She continued, " My last trip there was last year and I was doing an appearance at the casino… I didn't have any time to spare I was running so behind but I just had to stop by…. and I am so glad I did. I love you Uncle Fred and Aunt Debbie. Thank you for treating me like your own. I will miss your texts Fred always checking up on me and the fam. Rest easy until we meet again. Please pray for Melissa and Freddy and the entire Zorick family"

Facing Loss And A Lawsuit

Although grieving a terrible loss, Zolciak still has some other things to work through. The RHOA star is facing a lawsuit from the RHOA alum Nene Leakes.

The lawsuit issued by Leakes claims that ""NBC, and its parent company Comcast, perpetuate the lack of diversity in the industry. Comcast and NBC have been, and still are, plagued by a lack of diversity at the highest levels of the senior leadership," according to ET Online.

The lawyer of Leakes told ET, “From the day the series began filming, NeNe was the target of systemic racism from co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, which was tolerated by Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen and other executives." "

He went on to share, "That is not surprising, since for years NBC, Bravo and TruTV have permitted – even encouraged – a corporate and workplace culture that tolerates cast members and talents’ racially-offensive and insensitive conduct, statements and actions without any meaningful consequence or remediation. NeNe hopes that coming forward with this lawsuit these networks to assume their duties to ensure a workplace free from racially discriminatory or harassing behavior.”

However, Zolciak isn't having it.

She said on OWN's recap, "I mean, she knows what she's saying is not true in regards to me. That's ridiculous, and she knows it. So, I'll deal with her when she's done with them."
