Rebel Wilson is having quite the year. She began dating Ramona Agruma just over a year ago in January 2022, welcomed her first child, Royce, via surrogate in November 2022, and is now engaged to her lady following a beautiful moment in Disneyland.
Getting to Know Herself
The Pitch Perfect star shared with PEOPLE that she was always looking for a husband. In fact, she “[dated] about 50 guys in one year to try to catch up on the dating experience.”
However, it wasn’t until a friend set her up with Agruma that she found what she was really looking for.
In a previous Instagram post revealing her relationship, Wilson captioned, “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.”
Back in May, Wilson shared, “We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting. And that was a really good way to get to know each other. It was a bit old-school in that sense – very romantic.”
When speaking to PEOPLE in the past, Wilson explained, “I always was a bit of a girls’ girl and had deep friendships with women, but this was the first time that it was a romantic connection and I was just shocked. She continued, “And then I was like, ‘Oh, well, what if that was just part of my personality that I was repressing and wasn’t exploring?’ And maybe I should have 10 years earlier. My journey is what it is, but it’s just awesome now to be in a relationship.”
Launching her own dating app, Fluid, the Bridesmaids actress has been digging into sexuality and finding that it’s such a “complex and nuanced” topic. Speaking of her own sexuality, Wilson shared, “And I still don’t know 100 percent what category I would fit in. I don’t really know. I’m just in a great same-sex relationship now, and it’s awesome.”

Wilson and her “Disney Princes” are set to wed just months after going public with their relationship.
Wilson announced the exciting news in an Instagram post on Sunday. “We said YES! 💗💗. Thank you @tiffanyandco for the stunning ring 💍 and to Bob Iger and the incredible team at Disneyland @disneyweddings for pulling off this magical surprise!”
The couple is seen wearing matching pink and white striped sweaters with a black heart in the center and the word ‘Love’ etched into it.
Friends and fans flooded the comment section with joy including her co-star Brittany Snow who wrote, “Rebs!!!! Magical 😍😍😍 congrats you two!! 💕💕💕”
