When staying at Little Nell, it’s hard to pick the best accommodation. When every option is perfection attained, how do you choose the best of the best? One suite we’re particularly fond of is the Iselin Suite. That’s because the suite is designed in honor of Fred Iselin, a Swiss Army officer whom the hotel describes as an “accomplished ski racer and author.” Iselin become a Ski School Director at Aspen and Snowmass. Iselin embraced something called the “Aspen Idea,” and the suite pays homage to his spirit.

In the Iselin Suite, guests can enjoy 1,250 square feet of original artwork by Walter Niedermayr and Charles Andresen as well as a palette designed to soothe and relax, with creams and whites the focus. Dark wood lends an elegant touch and guests can enjoy two bedrooms, Crème de Marfil heated marble flooring, a full living room, two gas fireplaces, natural wool carpeting, a steam shower and jacuzzi soaking tub – plus so much more.

The suite is designed to embrace what it means to vacation in the heart of the world’s preeminent skiing town, with views of the mountainside without and elegance within.

The Little Nell – Nothing Little About What this Resort Offers

Aspen

If you’re looking to book at Little Nell, you’ll want to know a little more about other accommodation options and hotel amenities. Never fear, the Little Nell is a joy full of everything you’ve dreamed of for your skiing vacation – and we think you’ll find it so as well.

The hotel offers six luxury suites including the Iselin, each unique and designed to maximize the view out of overlarge picture windows. Other accommodation options include 52 rooms that offer the option to stay townside or mountainside. 26 premium guest rooms offer a little more space – but nothing at Little Nell is little. These are slightly larger versions of the standard guest rooms and both townside and mountainside rooms include vaulted ceilings for that extra touch.

And somewhere between the luxury suites and premium guest room lies the standard suites. These one- and two-bedroom suites are your own private getaway from it all, giving you a chance to stay home away from home.

Guests looking for some good food are in luck; Ajax Tavern and Element 47 on the property are delightful and elegant dining experiences. Ajax is a little more laid back and offers a mountainside terrace from which to enjoy the Winter sun. At Element 47, you can indulge in what many call the “finest dining” in Aspen. “Element 57” pays tribute to the element that is #47 on the Table of Elements – Silver. And guests can enjoy silver service cuisine any day of the week.

Little Nell is a family-friendly resort so you can bring not only your little humans, but your four-footed family members as well. Whether you’re looking to shop the Little Nell boutique, stretch out your sore muscles at the all-inclusive fitness center, unwind in the pool or hot tub or take advantage of the hotel’s slope- and town-side transportation, you’ll find it all at Little Nell.

Snow Beach – A Relaxing Mountainside Experience

Aspen

You may want to plan your Little Nell trip around an extraordinary experience that just opened up in Aspen: Snow Beach. ASPENX and Aspen Skiing Company teamed up with artist and entrepreneur Paula Crown and fine art photographer Gray Malin for a unique and fun mountainside event that started February 18 and runs through March 27.

Managed by the genius team behind The Little Nell, Snow Beach is a new take on après-ski during Aspen Snowmass’ 75th Anniversary season. It’s an outdoor setting that embraces a beach theme – on the snow. Guests can enjoy wine service and fine dining service while comfortable in their mountainside tent at this premiere “club” locale. Snow Beach offers breathtaking views of the Elk Mountains and Highland Bowl, along with live DJ performances, food and more.

A statement from the Snow Beach team shares, “A longtime Aspen enthusiast, Gray Malin collaborated with ASPENX to bring his photography to life for the one-of-a-kind activation on top of Aspen Mountain’s unexpected and awe-inspiring location. Gray designed each of the snow beach cabanas, complete with chaise-lounges and chairs, to allow guests to step into one of his photographs and experience an entire world of Gray Malin. With inspiration drawing from his iconic aerial beach and ski images, along with vintage style signature shots from decades past, Snow Beach celebrates the culture of après-ski and vintage glamour that Aspen Snowmass has cultivated and perfected throughout its 75-year history.

‘I am thrilled to partner with ASPENX to bring my artistic vision of Snow Beach to life,’ said Gray Malin. ‘Last fall, I walked the entire stretch of South Beach, Miami studying the various beach clubs to begin sketching the layout, furnishings and even the construction. Referencing my own aerial photography archive, I was inspired to incorporate a vintage aesthetic into playful details such as the striped design of the ‘beach’ cabanas and the lifeguard stands. My goal was to create an immersive experience inspired by my work and pay homage to the chic après-ski culture that Aspen has perfected. I want guests of Snow Beach to step into a whimsical Gray Malin photograph where they can take their own pictures and create their own unique memories of Aspen.’”

During the reservation period, guests will be served champagne and rose along with paired dining courses every thirty minutes including caviar selections, sliced Jamón Ibérico, individual black truffle pizza slices, house-made kettle corn, and so much more.

The idea of Snow Beach is a beach club on the slopes – with all of the amenities you’d expect – but with the beauty brought to life by the eye of Malin. For more information on Snow Beach, visit the ASPENX website
