But wait, what is the documentary going to be about? What parts of his life will it cover? Will his girlfriend, Camila Cabello, be in it? And what about his album? What has he said about that? Not to worry, people, because we broke it all down for you. Here’s everything we know so far about his documentary, In Wonder, and his album, Wonder.
What Exactly Will ‘In Wonder’ Be About?

According to Variety, the new movie will give us “an intimate look at Mendes’ life and journey, filmed over the last few years.” They also reported that it will “feature footage of Mendes from his 2019 self-titled world tour that took him across the North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.”
Acclaimed music video director Grant Singer (who has previously worked with The Weeknd, Lorde and Sam Smith) directed the documentary, while Mendes, his manager Andrew Gertler and Ben Winston (who produced numerous One Direction music videos) will serve as executive producers.
What Do We Know About Shawn Mendes’ Upcoming Album
The musician’s exciting announcement comes just a few days after he announced that his next LP, Wonder, will drop on December 4, 2020. The title track and lead single off the album came out on October 2, 2020, and we still have it on repeat, TBH.
“I think I’ve mainly evolved as a person and that’s kind of reflecting in the music,” Mendes explained to Radio.com about his upcoming tunes. “I think one thing that really kind of happen to me over the last six months is this real moment of reflecting and kind of looking at my own life, but also like being able to look at the world and not be so caught up in my career, my job, and my life, but I’m able to kind of look around see things a lot clearer for the first time.”
He added, “I feel like Wonder is in a lot of ways me just reflecting on my life, and life in general … I’ve never really done that before … probably because I didn’t have the mental capacity and clarity to even be able to reflect, and also probably because I was really scared of what people would think if I started to reflect in my music.”
Will Any Of The Songs On His Album Be About Camila Cabello?

Yep, get excited, people, because the pop star actually told Roman Kemp during an interview with Capital FMthat his new music is “all about [Cabello].” He also revealed that the “Havana” songstress was actually the person who pushed him to make the album.
“[She said], ‘Just stick with it because it feels like you.’ It gave us goosebumps the first conversation we had about it,” he shared. “I did stick with it, and everything from that moment of like just sticking with the original concept, it all just like has been flowing and it never stopped flowing.”
Plus, the brunette beauty also gushed over his upcoming songs on Instagram, writing, “The world could use some magic, beauty, and Wonder always, but especially right now. @shawnmendes what a gorgeous gift to the worl. He’s crafted this album with every last bit of his soul, his spirit, and his essence with the purest of intentions. My love, I’m so proud of the person you are and I’m so excited for people to see and hear your heart.”
Oh, and did we mention that in a YouTube comment, the star told fans, “You’re getting lots of love songs for Camila.”
What Else Has Shawn Mendes Said About ‘Wonder?’

According to Mendes, he was very “real and honest” in the lyrics on this album.
“I wrote an album. It’s called Wonder. It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song. I tried to be as real and as honest as I’ve ever been,” the 22-year-old dished in a letter to fans when he first announced the album. “It’s a world and a journey and a dream and an album I’ve been wanting to make for a really long time. I absolutely love it. Thank you for being by my side for so many years. I love you all so much.”
Do We Know The Track List For ‘Wonder?’

In a trailer posted for the LP, fans quickly noticed that a piece of paper quickly flashed across the screen that said “Set List” and listed a bunch of song names. Now, it’s unclear whether or not this is the official track list for Wonder, but many fans are convinced that it is! Here are the song names that were written on the paper:
“The Intro”
“Wonder”
“Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”
“Lost in Japan!”
“Nervous”
“Never Be Alone”
“Look Up at the Stars”
“Lost Ones”
“Why”
“Always Been You”
“Monster” (with special guest)
“Higher”
“Picture of the Moon”
Will There Be Any Collaborations On The Album?

Naturally, when the song “Monster” listed a special guest next to it, everyone quickly tried to figure out who it may be. Well, brace yourselves, you guys, because some fans are convinced that he’s got a collab with Justin Bieber on the new album! Why? Well, besides both of them being photographed entering the same studio on the same day a few weeks ago. Plus, the singer also gave a pretty interesting answer when asked if he had worked on a new song with Bieber during a recent interview.
“Is this you trying to confirm that I have a collaboration with Justin Bieber?” Mendes responded. “If I turned one down, that would be insane considering he’s been one of my favorite artist since I was nine years old. Cannot confirm or deny.”
Some people have also speculated that the secret collaborator is Miley Cyrus, after she too was spotted in the same studio as Mendes. We guess we’ll have to wait and see!
Why Did He Name His Album ‘Wonder?’
It seems like the album name has a very deep meaning behind it. How do we know? Well, in August 2020, Mendes actually debuted a new tattoo of the word “Wonder” on his arm. And apparently, it was written in Cabello’s handwriting! How sweet?! We seriously can’t wait for November 23 and December 4!
