Christine Breaks it to the Sister Wives

She says, "I wanted to tell them a while ago but it just hasn’t worked out. I’m nervous, I’m ok, I’m sad, gosh, really sad.” Koby and his four wives discussed building a home. Christine then decided she needed to let them know she isn’t sticking around.

Christine says: “They need to know that I have no intentions of living on the property and I don’t want my piece of property, I just don’t. I’m not going to live out there. I don’t see the point in having a piece of property. It's additional stress I don’t have to have in my life.”

Christine and Kody have had marital problems for a while. She continues saying: "It's a hard decision. I need to choose happiness. I need to make a choice to have joy in my life and peace and there hasn't been a lot of hope at all until I decided to leave. I feel strongly this is the best choice for me."

Sister wife Robyn said she knew Christine was going to tell them she wanted to leave. Christine replies: "The kids are the hardest part, of course, but it's like the relationship that the kids have with each other, that will still be great. I think that this is still family, it's just going to look different."

Kody still doesn't understand why Christine wants to move to Utah. He says: "I don't understand it at all unless there's some guy she wants to date there or she wants to get away from me so that my stink isn't on her so she can date." Kody then asked Christine if she believes in plural marriage. She replied: "I believe it works for people who want it to work for them. I believe if people have a testimony of it, they should live it."

Kody Tells his Sister Wives they Need to Stick to Patriarchy Again

According to ET, Kody drops a bomb on his Sister Wives. He says: "I'm going to be the head of my household again and so I'm not going to be circumvented in that." He continues: "And so if everybody's willing to conform to patriarchy again, I guess because I've been fighting to make everybody happy. My bitterness is that out of trying to do that and not having the family that I had thought about and designed."

Sister wife Janelle, confused by the statement, says: "Yeah, I didn't know I had signed up for patriarchy. That's not what we all agreed on in the very beginning."

In an interview Kody did say: "Ironically, Janelle did sign up for patriarchy, when she and I made an agreement that she would come into the family, she agreed wholeheartedly that she would run her will into mine because I had to be the head of the family. And she made that agreement with me."He then continues to say: "If it's too awkward or I don't feel like I'm the head of my household when people are around then I'm not going to have the whole family together, I'm at the point now in my life where I don't have time to waste on people who won't respect me or treat me with respect, so we'll see how that goes."

Sister wife Robyn ends the episode by saying: "This is just going to rock us in a very, very hard way if we're not careful. If we're not very, very careful. I sure hope everybody's taking it seriously." Kody is disappointed with Christine for choosing her independence and deciding to leave. He says: "So in that, we sort of lost some form of unity."
