What Has Taylor Swift Previously Acted In?

Taylor Swift

For those who don’t know, the “Cardigan” songstress made her acting debut in 2009 when she appeared in an episode of CSI. She landed her first big screen role in 2010 when she starred in the movie Valentine’s Day alongside Taylor Lautner, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Patrick Dempsey and others. She also voiced a character in the 2012 flick The Lorax, was a guest star in the show New Girl and had a brief appearance in the movie The Giver. Plus, in 2019, she starred Bombalurina in the movie adaptation of the famed play Cats, and boy, did she do amazing! We can’t wait to uncover some more details on her newest role — hopefully she announces something soon.

What Else Is She Up To These Days?

Swift is currently in the process of re-recording her old albums, after she lost the rights to them. For those who missed it, Scooter Braun purchased her old record label, Big Machine Records, in June 2019 — which meant he now owned the rights to her old songs, and she was not happy about it. Swift took to Tumblr at the time, where she posted a lengthy note and claimed that the music mogul (who manages Justin BieberDemi LovatoAriana Grande and more) and his clients had bullied her in the past. She also said that she was completely blindsided by the news that he had bought the rights to her old songs. A few months later, Swift sent the entire world into a frenzy when she revealed that she had plans to re-record all of her old masters. Then, she released her first re-recorded album — Fearless (Taylor’s Version) — on April 9, 2021.

Now, fans are convinced that the second album the pop star is going to re-release will be 1989. Why? Well, as fans know, Swift is pretty much the queen of throwing hidden messages and clues into her social media posts and interviews. So naturally, after Fearless (Taylor’s Version) came out, fans started to scour the web to see if she had left any hints about what was coming next.

Upon investigating, fans uncovered quite a few clues that Swift was working on 1989, and the theories quickly erupted. First off, while promoting her upcoming Stephen Colbert interview, Swift posted a collage that contained lots of pics of the talk show host — including one of him from the year 1989. The collage also contained a picture of a seagull, which as fans know, is the bird that appears on Swift’s shirt on the 1989 album cover. Another reason fans think that she’s working on the album is because she actually teased her new version of the song “Wildest Dreams” (which was on 1989) while promoting the upcoming movie Spirit.

Some people are even convinced that they’re going to be a Harry Styles feature on the album! When Swift released Fearless (Taylor’s Version), she included six new songs from the vault, which were written for the album back in 2008, but didn’t make the cut in the end. Two of them had special guests — Maren Morris sang on “You All Over Me” and Keith Urban was featured on “That’s When.” And when it came out, Swift tweeted, “One thing I’ve been loving about these ‘From The Vault’ songs is that they’ve never been heard, so I can experiment, play, and even include some of my favorite artists.” So now, people are theorizing that the One Direction member — who dated the 31-year-old back in 2012 and inspired much of the album — may make an appearance on one of her 1989 vault tracks. Especially since they were caught chatting up a storm at the 2021 Grammy Awards earlier this year. We guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens!

What’s Going On With Her Love Life?

Taylor Swift Joe Alwyn

As fans know, Swift has been in a relationship with Joe Alwyn for more than four years, and according to Entertainment Tonight, they grew even closer over the last year. So close that the Grammy Award winning artist wants to marry the actor one day.

“They grew closer than ever during the quarantine and she really trusts him,” a source told them, adding that they “are so in love.”

They continued, “They’ve been continuing to be pretty low-key about their relationship to the outside world to continue to protect it. They’ve discussed future plans and Taylor can see herself marrying Joe one day.”

E! News reported back in January that Swift and Alwyn were splitting their time between the U.K. and the U.S. during the coronavirus quarantine. An insider dished, “She is back and forth between Nashville and England spending time with her family and with Joe’s family. They take walks in the neighborhood and go on hikes to get fresh air.”
