It’s officially been one week since Taylor Swift shocked us all and dropped her second surprise album, called Evermore. For those who missed it, the singer announced the LP just hours before it came out, and get this — the release came four months after she did the exact same thing and dropped another album called Folklore with no warning. But wait, does she have another secret new batch of songs in the works? Some fans are convinced that she’s got a third surprise album, called Woodvale, in the works, and they even think they’ve figured out its release date! We decided to investigate, and boy, did we uncover a lot of clues that suggest the 31-year-old does indeed have another album coming soon. Here’s what you need to know…
So Why Do Fans Think Taylor Swift Has More New Music In The Works?
Well, when Swift dropped the new album on Friday, December 11, she left a major hint that there may be some more new music coming very soon. At the end of her album announcement, she wrote, “And it may continue, evermore.” OMG.
I have no idea what will come next. I have no idea about a lot of things these days and so I’ve clung to the one thing that keeps me connected to you all. That thing always has and always will be music. And may it continue, evermore. evermore is out now: https://t.co/QYMUTL0IAj pic.twitter.com/tlSmahDkBi— Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) December 11, 2020
Plus, fans were also quick to notice that the “Lover” songstress released three matching sweaters in three different colors — one in black and white, which went with Folklore‘s album cover, one in red and white, which went with Evermore‘s album cover, and one in green and white, leading fans to wonder if it’ll go with her next album cover.
but wait! there’s more!! with the release of taylor’s three cardigans, there’s an addition to the theory that the last cardigan release goes with the third album woodvale. now hear me out. instead of the possibility of woodvale being released on january 31 like previously stated, pic.twitter.com/axQBMUOeId— willow and ivy (@shininjust4you) December 11, 2020
Fans Are Convinced That The Secret Album Will Come Out On April 30, 2021
For those who don’t know, Swift is pretty known for leaving Easter eggs and hidden messages in her songs, lyrics and music videos. So when fans noticed that in the “Cowboy Like Me” lyric video, a clock in the background showed the time 4:30, some people thought it may be a clue about when her next album is dropping. Not to mention that Evermore came out exactly 20 weeks after Folklore, and 20 weeks after the day Evermore came out would be April 30, 2021. Coincidence? We hope not!
This clock is in the cowboy like me lyric video and says 4:30 ...... 4/30 ..... April 30th ..... Friday April 30th is 140 days from now and evermore was released 140 days after folklore pic.twitter.com/h6DTvnZXM2— Kristen//Folkmorewhore (@windermeraurora) December 12, 2020
People Think That Taylor Swift’s Next Album Will Be Called ‘Woodvale’
Some fans even think that they figured out the name of her upcoming LP! Eagle-eyed Swifties quickly noticed that if you look closely at one of the photos from her Folklore album artwork, you can see the word “Woodvale” written in script. What could it possibly mean? We guess we’ll have to wait and see.
And that’s not all! After doing some research, fans discovered that Woodvale is actually the name of a street in London, where the blonde beauty and her beau, Joe Alwyn, reportedly live. To make it even more suspicious, the street is located in the Lake District, which Swift sang about in her song “The Lakes.”
What Else Has Taylor Swift Been Up To Lately?
And a third secret album isn’t the only thing Swifties have to look forward to! Yep, get this — the musician is also re-recording her old songs at the moment, and we cannot wait to hear them!
For those who missed it, Swift has been embroiled in a feud with Scooter Braun and her old record label, Big Machine Records, for months now. When news hit the web that the music mogul (who manages Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande and more) had purchased Big Machine Records in June 2019 — which meant he now owned the rights to her old songs — she was not happy about it. The pop star took to Tumblr, where she posted a lengthy note and claimed that Braun and his clients had bullied her in the past. She also said that she was completely blindsided by the news that he had bought the rights to her old songs. Then, a few months later, Swift sent the entire world into a frenzy when she revealed that she had plans to re-record her old masters.
