Leah Messer and Ashley Jones Turn Their Backs on Dr Drew After Reunion Ambush

All seemed peaceful on the Teen Mom Reunion episode. Until host Dr. Drew dropped a drama bomb on some of the castmates, ambushing them with a question that they found immediately uncomfortable.

Leah Messer and Ashley Jones stormed off the stage – refusing to answer it and participate in what they saw as a bash-fest of a mutual friend. Other castmates didn't seem to mind so much – but here's what had Messer and Jones so upset.

Not Gonna Trash Talk Kail

It's no secret that Kailyn Lowry didn't attend the Reunion episode in person.

After things escalated between Lowry and fellow star Briana DeJesus, culminating in a messy court case that was dismissed in DeJesus's favor, things between Lowry and the Teen Mom crew were not entirely friendly.

So it came as somewhat of a surprise to Messer and Jones when Dr. Drew decided to bring up their absent castmate during the reunion, asking, "So Kail didn't want to do this reunion in person. Any idea why that would be?" Messer responded that she had no idea.

Jade Cline chuckled and quipped, "We have an idea. They don't get along." DeJesus herself added, "She'll never sit next to me on the couch."

Dr. Drew then tried to pry further and get some more dirt to satisfy fan curiosity. Messer explained that Lowry had gotten upset with her over a social media post and it caused tension between the former BFFs, but that beyond that she was unsure what else might be going on.

That was enough to get Jones on her feet, storming off the stage.

The Sun reports, "As she was finishing her answer, Ashley suddenly stood up and walked off the set.

On her way out, she told Drew: 'I'm going to let you all talk about Kail without me, cause I don't wanna be in none of that s–t.'

Leah quickly joined her, simply saying on her way out: 'I agree.'"

It was heartening for fans of Lowry to see two of her besties standing up for her, even if things between her and Messer have seemed to be not so rosy recently.

A Feud – or Is It?

Messer's reaction in support of her friend of course begs the question – are they really no longer BFFs?

The two have been trading passive aggressive barbs for the past few weeks ever since Lowry went on an unfollowing spree, including of Messer.

Fans speculated that Lowry was mad because Messer refused to be mean to DeJesus, a point which the latter brought up on the Reunion couch.

After Jones and Messer stormed off the stage, DeJesus explained to Dr. Drew, "I think Kail no longer wants to be Leah's friend because Leah's nice to me. That's what it comes down to."

However, it was clear that she had no trouble having her former (?) BFFs back when it came down to it during the Reunion, so maybe Lowry and Messer can patch things up. They're both in the same stage of life again – getting serious with men in relatively new relationships.

So if the Teen Mom gods are smiling, the pair will patch things up, helped by Messer's defense of Lowry. There is some question as to whether Lowry or Messer will return to Teen Mom. And rumors are flying that the pair may have either quit – or in Lowry's case been fired – but whatever they do, they may do it together again.
