There’s Officially A ‘Teen Wolf’ Movie Coming To Paramount+
Get ready, Teen Wolf fans, because the moment you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! More than four years

Get ready, Teen Wolf fans, because the moment you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! More than four years after the iconic TV show went off the air, MTV has announced that it’s coming back! Yep, there’s officially a Teen Wolf movie in the works at Paramount+, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.
But wait, what is the flick going to be about, you ask?! Will the original cast reprise their roles for it? Will it continue off where the show ended or follow a whole new story line? And when will it come out? Not to worry, you guys, because we went ahead and rounded up all the important details for you. Here’s everything you need to know…
Will The Original Cast Return For The New Movie?

According to MTV, the original creator, writer and producer, Jeff Davis, has returned to work on the movie. But as for the OG cast (which included Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes and more), they’re reportedly still “in talks” to star in it. However, one person who we know for sure is going to return is Posey, since he took to Twitter to share a teaser for the new film right after the news dropped.
“We’ve heard your howls,” the video said. “And we’re howling back.”

Plus, while speaking to Variety earlier this year, the actor admitted that not only is he down to reprise his role, but that he’s always sending ideas for a reboot to Davis.
“I’ve always always been, like, coming up with concepts in my head for the last few years. Texted them to Jeff Davis. I’ve been coming up with ideas. I’ve been vocal about it. I think the only thing is, maybe, Jeff and MTV. You need to make some deal, you know, but I’m ready,” he explained at the time. “It’s starting to feel like — what’s cool is that Teen Wolf now seems more popular than when it was on the air. There’s just all this folklore and all these people wanting more. So, it seems like maybe they’re just waiting for the perfect moment to strike.”
He also tweeted in 2020, “Hey @MTV, I think it’s time to bring Teen Wolf back for new episodes. First Jersey Shore Family Vacation, now Teen Wolf High School Reunion. I’m ready and 28, so it’s an appropriate age.”

As for the other cast members, O’Brien was asked if he’d ever return to the franchise in 2020, and he said he’d “jump at the chance to do any kind of thing.” He also said he was almost certain that the cast would “come back together for something at some point.”
Back in 2017, however, MTV CEO and President Chris McCarthy was asked about a possible revival, and he hinted that if the show did make a comeback, it might have a whole new set of characters.
“We are talking with Jeff about how do we actually keep that franchise alive. And the beauty of the evolution of media is you can see … a resurrection of a new class in a couple years,” he said at the time.
What Will The New ‘Teen Wolf’ Movie Be About?

But what about the plot? Here’s a full synopsis for you: “A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.”
Sounds intense! Unfortunately, there’s no release date for it just yet, but we hope they share some more details soon.
What Else Do ‘Teen Wolf’ Fans Have To Look Forward To?

It turns out, the new film isn’t the only thing that Teen Wolf fans have to look forward to! Yep, there’s also a brand new show about werewolves that Davis is working on called Wolf Pack, which is based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom. It will “follow a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills. Wounded in the chaos, the boy and girl are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted 16 years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them — the bite and blood of a werewolf.”
Plus, beginning in December 2021, all six seasons of Teen Wolf will be available to stream on Paramount+. So if you feel like taking a walk down memory lane and binging the show before the new movie comes out, they’ve got you covered!
