Lacitrus Asonta Gholston, a star of “Love During Lockup,” tragically lost his life on Friday night in Georgia after reportedly being involved in a police chase. His on-screen love interest, Raneka, shared the heartbreaking news on social media.
Raneka began her heartfelt post on Facebook by expressing her complicated relationship with Asonta. She conveyed her deep sorrow, saying, “We always beefing & I ain’t never put my pride aside, but he know imma be on his ass. May your soul rest in peace Juwhop. Initial reports suggested that Asonta had been struck by a car while walking. However, subsequent information indicated that he had been driving and was pursued by the police when he collided head-on with a truck carrying four individuals.
WNEG Radio shared details about the accident involving Asonta on their Facebook page, prompting one of the truck’s occupants to respond with gratitude for their survival and empathy for Asonta’s family.
The individual from the truck wrote, “I’m so blessed to be alive after what we all four went through yesterday! It hurt my heart so bad for the other driver. I cried from a distance with his family. I’m praying for healing for your family and I’m so sorry!!” She also urged people not to express negativity, emphasizing empathy for the situation.
