Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright hosted a gender reveal party at their Los Angeles home on Sunday and during the bash, the couple learned they are expecting a baby boy.

With a number of their Vanderpump Rules cast mates at their side, as well as several other friends and family members, Jax and Brittany watched as their swimming pool turned dark blue and blue confetti was launched throughout their yard.

“IT’S A BOY!!!!” Jax announced on Instagram on September 27. “I am so happy!!!”

Along with a photo of himself holding a onesie that read, “I’m the #1 Guy in This Group,” Jax thanked his photographer, Jessi Robertson, for capturing his and his PR gal, Lori Krebs, for “always thinking of everything and making things perfect even from another country, we love you.”

Around the same time that Jax confirmed the news of their baby boy, Brittany did the same on her page, telling her fans and followers, “It’s a BOY!!!!“

The Pump Rules Cast Comments on Jax and Brittany’s Baby Boy News

After Brittany’s post was shared, several of her Vanderpump Rules cast mates weighed in.

“A little boyfriendddddd!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!!” Stassi Schroeder, who is expecting a baby girl in January 2021, wrote.

Stassi’s fiance, Beau Clark, who was also in attendance, added, “Wooohooooooooooooooo.”

“A hockey playing heartbreaker on the way,” said Lala Kent, who is pregnant with a baby girl who is due next April, around the time that Brittany is also due.

A number of other cast members, including Scheana Shay, who tragically miscarried her first child in June, reacted to Jax and Brittany’s baby boy news with blue heart emoji.

“CONGRATULATIONS oh my goodness you’re going to be the most incredible mother,” model Raquel Leviss told Brittany.

“Yayayayyyy!!” Kristen Doute wrote, along with two blue emoji and a crying emoji.

Even James Kennedy, who did not appear to be in attendance, spoke out, offering a congratulatory message to the couple and sharing Jthree praying hands emoji.

Months after Stassi confirmed that she and Beau are expecting their first child together after being forced to postpone their October wedding date due to the travel restrictions put into place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, her mother, Dayna Schroeder, expressed excitement for Jax and Brittany’s baby boy.

“Congratulations little mama! I am so happy for you and Jax!!! You are going to be such a great mommy….you learned from the best!” Dayna wrote. “I’m so excited to be Glamma’s with [Sherri Cartwright] at the same time!!!!!!! Yyyyaaaaayyyyyy! It’s a boy Jax!!!!!! I know you must be in 7th Heaven right now!!!!!! Congrats!!!!”

Taylor and Cartwright Planned to Start a Family Soon After Their June 2019 Wedding

In April, as they approached their one-year wedding anniversary, Brittany said that she was “eager” to start a family with Jax and noted that he is much older than she.

“I’m definitely eager to have kids and Jax is eager to have kids,” Brittany told Us Weekly at the time. “He’ll be 40 two weeks after [the wedding]. I’m 30, we’re ready. We’re buying a house. When it happens, it happens. We’re not going to be very careful. We’re gonna let it come with God’s grace, and He’ll give us a baby when it’s ready.”

At the same time, Jax said that despite his wild past behavior, he was settled down and prepared to embark on the next chapter in his life, which involved wife Brittany and himself having at least two children.

“We’ve been together for four years and my whole life has been a party, so I’ve done everything I wanted to do,” Jax said. “I’m ready for the next step. I’m ready to have kids. I’m ready to be part of the PTA, soccer dad, soccer mom, gymnastics coach, whatever. That’s my next job.”

In another interview in April, Jax told host Justin Sylvester that he and Brittany were trying to conceive their first child after previously putting their baby plans on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We’re ready to go,” Jax said on the Just the Sip podcast in April. “I wasn’t sure at the beginning. I was like, ‘I’m not sure this is a good idea. I don’t know how long this is going to go on.’ I watched The Walking Dead. I saw what happened when they got pregnant. I was scared. I was like, ‘What if we won’t be able to get to the doctor?’ But I put all of that past me.”

Once Jax and Brittany officially confirmed their baby news earlier this month, just days after Lala revealed she is having a baby girl with fiancé Randall Emmett, the couple spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the process of conceiving their first child.

“We had been trying for around five months and we just can’t wait to grow our family,” Brittany said last week after sharing her pregnancy with her fans and followers on Instagram. “I had the ovulation sticks and all the apps. We were ready to go! I woke up super early to go to the restroom and just had a feeling I should take a test and it was positive!! I cried, I laughed, we were just so happy!! Then I took three more tests and cried some more.”

According to Jax, he plans to follow the parenting playbook of his father, Ronald Cauchi, who passed away in December 2017 after a bout with cancer.

“I am really excited to be a father,” he said. “My dad was my hero. He passed three years ago and I can honestly say my parents gave me the best childhood a kid could ask for. I can’t wait to go to games, dance recitals, and school functions. My dad was always there for me in every way, so I am just gonna follow his playbook, say a few prayers and hopefully God willing, everything will fall into place like it did for me.”

Katie Maloney Doesn’t Have Pregnancy FOMO

Earlier this month, after it was confirmed that Brittany is the third Vanderpump Rules cast member expecting a child early next year, Katie was confronted by a fan on Instagram who said she was the “odd one out” because she is not currently pregnant.

“I’m ready for a baby announcement from them,” an Instagram user wrote last week under a photo of Katie and her husband, Tom Schwartz.

“How much fomo [fear of missing out] do you want to bet Katie is having right now?” another person asked. “Literally other than Kristen she’s the odd one out and you know how much she loves that!”

As Vanderpump Rules fans well know, Kristen is currently in a committed relationship with boyfriend Alex Menache but has no plans to rush to get pregnant. Instead, she’s taking things slow as the two of them enjoy getting to know one another better nearly one year into their romance.

In response to the ladies’ comments about her potential fear of missing out, Katie denied any such thing in a post of her own.

“I’m so happy for my friends and really enjoying being along for their journey,” she said. “It will happen for us when it’s right. sometimes it just takes time and doesn’t always happen the first try.”
