Another Woman Comes Forward About Brandi Glanville’s Affair With Denise Richards

Kristen Taekman is speaking out about the ongoing rumors surrounding her longtime friend Brandi Glanville‘s alleged affair with Denise Richards.
After watching the drama between the two women play out on the past several episodes of the 10th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kristen, who appeared as a full-time cast member on just two seasons of The Real Housewives of New York City, addressed the issue on a podcast.
“Brandi told me last time I saw her that there was some drama with her and Denise, but I kind of tuned it out. She told me a little bit that I can’t repeat. And I was like, I don’t wanna know,” Kristen admitted on the September 24 episode of Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef.
According to Kristen, Brandi filled her in about her supposed hookups with Denise “a little bit” but because she didn’t really care to know all of the dirty details regarding what Brandi claimed happened between the two of them, she tuned them out and decided to watch the drama play out as a viewer.
“I kind of felt like, ‘No, I don’t know.’ I kind of let it go. Like, ‘Let’s see how that plays out. And then I’m going to ask her questions afterwards,’” Kristen explained.
Taekman Doesn’t Doubt the Affair Happened
Then, when David asked her point-blank if she believes the affair actually happened, Kristen said that she doesn’t doubt it before adding that Brandi has always been quite open with her sexuality.
“I mean, here’s the thing. I don’t doubt. I mean, I don’t, I don’t know. I don’t, I don’t know. I can say Brandi is very open sexually, so I don’t know Denise, so I don’t know. But, but I, I mean, I don’t think anybody would be surprised,” Kristen shared.
Because Kristen has been friends with Brandi since their days as models in the Big Apple many years ago, she doesn’t believe the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star would lie to her about what took place between them.
“Yeah. Yeah, totally. But who knows what happened?” Kristen continued. “You know, I don’t know.”
Months after Brandi and Denise reportedly hooked up in Northern California, the preview clips for the 10th season of their reality series began airing and, of course, the drama between them was a major storyline.
“They put out these teasers. Right? And it’s like, you feel like in the teaser, are there spinning at a certain way? And then we’re going to sit down and we’re gonna watch the scene and it’s gonna, we’re all gonna be like, ‘Really?’ Because I also felt like the last episode of [The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills], they kept doing the teasers of Denise and her husband at that table. And I felt like, ‘Oh my God, it’s going to be so crazy.’ And then you actually watch the scene, go down. [And] it wasn’t as bad as I thought,” Kristen admitted.

Kristen is Not Impressed With the Current RHONY Cast
After a chat about the way in which The Real Housewives of New York City has become the “drunk” franchise, Kristen said that while cast members from other cities also indulge in adult beverages from time to time, they give off a different vibe than the current cast of The Real Housewives of New York City, which consists of Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Tinsley Mortimer.
“The other women get drunk, but it’s like chic,” she explained. “Like they were at a wine tasting and Tuscany and their trash. That’s amazing. That’s where you should be trashed. You shouldn’t be trashed at the pumpkin patch upstate. Like, come on. That’s not cute at all.”
“I think they need more Leah’s and more Tinsleys more like fresh, young, fabulous. I mean here’s the thing. It works because nobody… is anybody married? Nobody is married. Right? So I mean, I feel like in that sense it works because they’re all kind of like single and like on the prowl, you know? It would be weird if it was like that one token girl that’s got like little kids that would be a bit awkward,” Kristen stated, before adding, “Or maybe that girl will be the voice of reason. I don’t know.”
Continuing on about the current lineup on The Real Housewives of New York City, Kristen said that everyone is “older” and single.”
“It’s like, it’s sad. You know what I mean? I don’t know. It’s kind of a bummer,” Kristen noted. ”That’s why I like watching Beverly Hills because it’s like, they’re wild, they’re crazy. They’re successful. They can go out and get drunk, but you somehow respect them because their like they’ve got this like great package.”
”You almost aspire to want to be them. Whereas the New York ladies, not so much, you know?” she added.
Taekman Recalls Snubbing Morgan at a Restaurant in NYC
After revealing that she doesn’t keep in touch with the women of the show, Kristen revealed she once had a bit of an awkward encounter with Sonja.
“Sonja and I had this weird… There was this restaurant in the meat packing [district] that we both separately got invited to go to because I do the influencer stuff. So like sometimes restaurants, you know how it works, restaurants will reach out and they’ll be like, ‘Hey, this a new menu. We’d like to invite you to test the new menu and maybe do some social.’ That’s what I do.”
“I went and ironically Sonja was there as well, separately,” Kristen explained.
“I tend to go early because of the kids. And to take my pictures and have my space and whatever. And I heard her, like I heard Sonja,” Kristen went on. “I was with my friends and I was like, ‘I’m pretty sure that’s Sonja Morgan.’ And it was a little bit like, it was just one of those moments where I was like, I looked over and she had her whole like mafia and it was just, I wasn’t, I wasn’t shading her. I wasn’t anything. It was just like, I just personally already had a few drinks and it was like at the end of my dinner and I was just wasn’t in the mood. I just wasn’t into it. So I just slipped out and then somebody caught wind of it and like wrote up this whole thing that I’d shaded her.”
While Kristen didn’t intend to shade her former Real Housewives of New York City co-star, she admitted that she basically did so because she could have easily gone over and said, “Hi,” to her.
“I guess if you really broke it down, maybe I did shake her because I didn’t go over and say, ‘Hi, but it was just one of those things. Like she was like drinking and she was with her crew and I was like, I’m not going there.”
Kristen joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City for the series’ sixth season in 2014 after Luann took on a reduced role following season five. Then, after season seven, Kristen left the show.
